Mark + Rachel | Married

Despite what the world threw Mark and Rachel’s way love triumphed. This sweet couple had to plan their day twice due to the pandemic. When I first met Mark and Rachel to start planning their day things looked a lot different. However, September 12th was still full of joy! It was gorgeous and sunny day. The wedding was celebrated in the chapel at St. Vincent’s de Paul in Andover, KS and a reception was followed at a Pecan Farm near Oxford, KS. The bride’s dress was soft and creamy in color accented with lace and gold sparkles glistened through the tool. The suits worn by the men were classic navy. White Roses were accented with burgundy and pink flowers in the floral arrangements and bouquets. The couple was glowing as they stood in the chapel. Trust me, it is evident in the pictures. Following the ceremony they were surprised by a drive by reception. It was so touching that so many friends and family drove out despite not being able to attend the wedding. Even though I was masked I couldn’t keep from smiling from this sweet surprise.

The reception was dreamy! We were surrounded by beauty as we drove out to a field where a small white tent sat. The locations had rows and rows of pecan trees, a sweet white farmhouse with a wraparound porch, a small pond with a gazebo, a bridge and the list could continue. The groom’s aunt and uncle’s home was a sentimental location as it was where Mark proposed to Rachel. After capturing some pictures the couple cut the cake and made their way to the tent for dinner. The bride and groom had bbq followed by a lemon cake for dessert. It was delicious! They were able to open some of their gifts as the sun began to start to set. Wrapping up the evening was the first dance in the gazebo and another surprise. The family had gathered videos, pictures and well wishes from family in a slideshow.
